Thresholds

The length of my hair has a certain threshold when it becomes ridiculous to look at; unfortunately in between last night and this morning it surpassed that threshold, making me look silly all through today. The madness is going to have to continue until early tomorrow morning, but that's ok.

It's such a simple piece of equipment, but a keyboard can be a difficult peripheral for manufacturers to implement effectively. I say this because my new keyboard to replace a cheap, cheerful one I've been using for the past few weeks arrived this morning. What a difference the new keyboard has made to my typing! It's all down to the responsiveness of the keyboard - the cheap one took a tremendous amount of downward momentum for a keypress to register, and it also had to be pressed at a specific angle for the exertion to be converted to an on-screen symbol. The new one has a very low key-press threshold, meaning the amount of words I can write per minute has increased a fair whack. Typing is now relatively mindless again.
