Stranger Than Fiction

There seems to be a bit of a spate of comedy actors trying their luck at films that have a hint more drama in than ones they would normally take on - Adam Sandler in Click being one of them, and Will Ferrell being another. His latest film, Stranger Than Fiction attempts to show a slightly different side of him - one of substance, and emotion, and, quite surprisingly, he delivers! The film is an absolute joy thanks not only to the brilliant plot, but also because of the more than above-average cinematography of Harold Crick's scenes, and the excellent supporting cast (Dustin Hoffman seems to get better and better every time I see him).

It's a film that will surprise many thanks to Ferrell's lovely minimalist acting, and one which will leave you asking questions of yourself (unless you're Joey, in which case you'll fall asleep in the last 15 minutes and miss the best part of the film!)
