SModcast, or: the art of telling dick jokes

I got wind of the Kevin Smith / Scott Mosier podcast early last week, and quickly grabbed them all, expecting to be regaled with numerous insider stories of Hollywood, and with incisive insights into Kevin Smith's film-making process. Granted, there have been more than a few interesting nuggets of information to be found in each episode which relate to film-making, but the last few episodes have left me feeling a little disillusioned with Kevin Smith in general. He's a really clever writer, and an engaging speaker when he wants to be, but I just wish he told less stories based on sexual experiences, and cut out the bad innuendo. He's clever, but incredibly lazy sometimes, and resorts to pretty base discussion to pad out the time. Regardless of what you think of lowbrow humour, it's still a fairly entertaining listen.

This post is related to 3 areas of discussion: kevin smith, smodcast, scott mosier.
