SEE: The Brighton Documentary Film Festival

Documentary is probably my favourite genre of movie. There's something so beautiful about seeing real people on film, and often their stories transcend any far-fetched plot that a moviewriter can create, which is utterly mesmerising. Some of my favourite documentaries include American Movie, Spellbound, and Michael Moore Hates America. While MMHA is kindof a meta-documentary, it's still a favourite.

Why am I talking about documentary then, you ask? SEE, the Brighton Documentary Film Festival starts in 2 months time, and I'm eager to get my ticket! The bits I look forward to are, in no particular order, Storyville Special (Nick Fraser talks about storylines), the screening of ‘Juvenille Liasons’ and the following Q&A with Nick Broomfield, and the screening / QA of ‘Half Life: A Journey to Chernobyl’.

If anyone's planning on going, or fancies coming along, feel free to get in touch and we can hook up!
