Rasing your game, free poker equipment, and beating bad beats
In an effort to try and raise my game, I've been having a look around at a bunch of different poker sites recently - there's a ton of information out there, and it's not always clear who's advice to take, and who's not to. Like most people these days, I'm only really interested in tactics for playing Texas Holdem, as that's what we play during Somerhill Poker tournaments. Does anyone have any decent sites they like to use? Let me know and I'll definitely take a look.
Oh, if you're short of poker equipment, you might like to check out VegasPokerPro, as they're currently doing a deal where if you sign up to some of the major poker sites through them, they'll give you a free gift. They have a neat octagonal table with spaces for 8 players, which would be dead neat to have - I'd definitely get one if I wasn't already sorted with decent playing apparatus! I've been having a nosey around the site, and also came across a nicely written article about Bad Beats, and how to deal with them - something we can all do with learning more about...
