Ode to Samsung
I'm normally a right fussy bugger about choosing a phone - I've had about 5 different makes, and probably close to 8 or 9 phones over the last 8 years, and it's taught me to be very wily about the type of phone to go for. There's a lot to consider, especially now all the phones on the market seem to be all-singing, all-dancing multimedia machines, with more functionality than most desktop computers had a decade ago. I did religiously stick to Nokia for 4 or 5 upgrades, as once you get used to an interface, you never want to learn a new one, right? Well, right if you're happy where you are. Me, I felt like a change...
It's been almost 2 weeks since I had my new Samsung D800 delivered to replace my Nokie 6101, and by all acounts, I've had nothing but good things to say about it! The menus are clean and concise. The phone itself looks beautiful, and there's a certain something about the way the screen (which is large and accommodating) slides up to make the keypad appear from nowhere. It feels light, but robust, and I cant see myself breaking it anytime soon as a result, which can always be a worry when you get one of these phones which are always decreasing in size.
If you're looking for somewhere to pick up a new Samsung, you can try The Links Samsung mobile phones site - they have all the latest phones, including the only just released D900. Worth a look, for sure.
