Nike+ - Day 4
So I just finished another workout with Nike+. I went down to the cycletrack at Preston Park so I could more accurately calibrate my kit (it turns out that the Preston Park cycle track is 569metres long, which according to Google is 0.35ish miles. So, I set the Nike+ calibrator to 0.35 miles in walk mode, walked a lap of the track, and it said I had only walked 0.19 miles. Hmm. Undeterred, I set it to a running calibration this time, and by the time I did a lap, it said I had run too far. Obviously that isn't the case, so I think it's time to ditch the standard Nike Air running shoes, and buy some proper Nike+ runners. There are plenty on eBay, so I will pick up a bargain this evening for sure.
In spite of the dodgy calibration, I went for a run, and it turned out I ran my furthest run yet! I'm very pleased with myself. I set up a proper playlist for the run, which I think really helped. It was also really heartening to hear Mr. Lance Armstrongs voice when I finished my run saying "Hi, this is Lance Armstrong. Congratulations, you just completed your longest work out yet! Keep up the good work". Motivation indeed!
