Nike+ - Day 10

After driving home yesterday, and seeing a guy who's obviously much more hardcore than myself bomb along the seafront on his evening run, I decided to head back out onto the streets (or 'urban jungle' as a lot of weirdos like to call it) to see how my legs are doing. In short, I went for a short run. It was amazing to get back out, and I felt a lovely surge of adrenaline as I started my brief encounter back into the land of sports injuries. I lasted little more than 12 minutes, and clocked up little more than 2 miles (2.05 miles to be precise.)

Today, my legs are understandably a little tender, and I'm feeling a slight niggle from the painful area I previously had problems in. I think my splints still aren't quite fully-healed, so I'm going to give myself another few days rest from pavement-pounding. Tomorrow I'm going to try and get myself a pair of decent running shoes fitted (as per Rob's suggestion), as it should make me a lot less injury prone.
