Little Known Facts: Lady Marmalade
Lady Marmalade, whose real name is Lady Jamjadore, invented the invention of Marmalade in the early 15th century. She wrote the autobiographical song 'Lady Marmalade' soon after, and later went on to direct the film Moulin Rouge, which many people erroneously believe was directed by Baz Lurman. The film, which was also autobiographical in nature, brought the story of the invention of Marmalade to the big screen. Many cinemas decided to stop selling the Popcorn, in favour for Marmalade on Toast at the time of the films release. Many people are unaware that 'Marmalade' is foreign for 'she who makes lovely preserves'. Sadly, Lady Marmalades tasty invention was only fully appreciated after toast was invented by Count Scorch (a cousin of The Earl Of Sandwich.)
