Database Caching using PHP, and My New View

Made some more technical changes to the blog -- I'm happy with the way the database caching is going, so I've turned the TTL off of all the frontend queries, meaning the database won't be queried unless I specifically request it to. This should mean pages load much faster, as everything is now coming straight off disk, onto the page. Caching strategies are fun!

Had a rather fun night yesterday, and as a result my head is currently consumed with a dull ache, which water cannot subside. Seeing Rush Hour 3 earlier only made matters worse, so I've opted to do some spring (August) cleaning, which includes an office move-around! Our desk is now facing out towards the window, meaning I get a nice view of the train viaduct and the valley the trains chug their way into the station from London. Excellent.

Almost forgot to mention, my new view currently consists of what looks to be a Prostitute in a very small red Miniskirt taking a piss on the street corner. I kid you not. Maybe this move-around wasn't the best of ideas...
