Bruce Almighty

Jim Carrey really lifts this film up - his physical comedy as well as some really well written dialogue make the first twenty minutes of this film so enjoyable. It's a shame it has to suffer from the (expected) lull in laughs in the last hour. There's nothing wrong with a comedy having a message, but writers tend to think that means the comedy has to vanish. Not so!
